Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Melbourne
Injectable Wrinkle Treatments have now been used in cosmetic medicine for over 20 years. They relax a wrinkle-causing muscle, to help improve the appearance of the wrinkle.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a non-surgical medical treatment that may help reduce the appearance of facial lines caused by repeated muscle movement.
At uSkin Clinics, all injectable treatments are performed by qualified health practitioners registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Our focus is on safety, informed consent, and personalised care.
What Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections use a prescription-only muscle relaxant. Small amounts are carefully injected into targeted muscles. By temporarily reducing muscle activity, the treatment may help soften lines that appear with expressions such as frowning, squinting, or raising the eyebrows.
The treatment is not designed to alter your overall appearance dramatically, but may support a smoother, more refreshed look.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are commonly used for:
- Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet (outer corners of the eyes)
Other treatment areas may be available, depending on clinical assessment and your individual concerns. Suitability is determined by one of our qualified practitioners during your consultation.
Our Process: Your Safety and Comfort Come First
At uSkin Clinics, we follow a clear and transparent process to ensure every anti-wrinkle treatment is safe, medically appropriate, and tailored to your needs.
Step 1: Consultation
A consultation with a registered health practitioner includes:
- Review of your health history and suitability
- Facial assessment and discussion of treatment options
- Explanation of possible outcomes and risks
Step 2: Cooling-Off Period & Consent
You will be given written information and time to decide before treatment proceeds. A cooling-off period applies.
Step 3: Treatment Appointment
The procedure usually takes around 10–15 minutes. Fine needles are used to inject small amounts of the medicine into targeted muscles.
Step 4: Aftercare & Follow-Up
You will be provided with aftercare instructions, and follow-up may be offered depending on your needs and preferences.
What Happens During Your Appointment?
Before any procedure is performed, you’ll attend a consultation with a registered health professional. During this time, we’ll assess your facial anatomy, review your health history, and ensure you understand all aspects of the treatment, including potential risks.
You’ll then be provided with time to consider whether to proceed – a cooling-off period is required. If you choose to go ahead, a follow-up appointment is scheduled for your treatment.
The treatment itself involves the use of a very fine needle to inject small amounts of the muscle relaxant into specific areas. The procedure usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
What to Expect After Treatment
Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site is common and usually settles within hours.
Results are generally noticeable within a few days, with the full effect visible after 1–2 weeks.
Effects typically last for around 3–4 months, though this varies from person to person.
Some people choose to have repeat treatments to maintain results – this will be discussed with your practitioner.

At uSkin Clinics, all injectable treatments are administered by trained and experienced health professionals who are fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You can trust that your treatment will be delivered with the highest standards of clinical care, hygiene, and professionalism.
