PRP Platelet Rich Plasma

Within blood there is a substance called plasma, this plasma contains things called platelets. Platelets are used in our body for wound healing. PRP harnesses the properties of platelets to create a wound healing process to stimulate collagen production, promote tissue repair and rejuvenate the skin with stem cells and growth factors. PRP Therapy is clinically proven to provide results.

When we do a PRP facial we first take your blood and put it in a test tube with a special substance that will separate the red blood cells from the plasma. It is then placed in a machine called a centrifuge which will spin at high-speed and caused the blood to separate into these components.

The plasma part is then drawn up into syringes and injected just under the skin this starts a reaction Because the platelets are in high concentration in the solution, they start the healing response in the micro wounds caused by the injections.

This healing response then produces the rejuvenating effects. The advantage of this treatment is its completely natural. There is no chance of allergy as it is your own blood.

Initially after treatment you can be red and have some swelling, but this subsides after 24 to 48 hours. You can go back to normal activities.
